Planning an international delivery from Korea

The information that makes a delivery enquiry useful, from destination details to the total cost.

The ForaUpdated

The short answer

Start with the exact products, quantities and destination. Preparation, international transit and customs clearance are separate parts of the journey. Shipping rates and available services vary, so use the current Delivery page and request a quote for your particular enquiry rather than planning around a single advertised number.

Make the destination specific

A country name is a useful beginning, but a quotation needs more context. Include the destination city and postal code, the products you are interested in and the quantity of each. When delivery arrangements progress, confirm the full street address and the recipient who can respond to carrier enquiries.

The Fora’s Delivery page is the place to check the current destination exclusions, address restrictions, preparation guidance and shipping arrangements from Seoul. An article cannot guarantee service to an individual address. Ask the team to confirm both the product and the proposed destination before you plan around a delivery.

Think in three stages

Questions to ask about the delivery timeline
StageUseful question
Preparation in KoreaWhen can these exact items be ready for dispatch?
International transitWhich service is proposed, and what is its current estimate?
Destination clearanceWho will respond if customs or the carrier requests information?
Final receiptCan the named recipient receive and check the parcel?

Ask whether a quoted timeframe starts from enquiry, confirmation or dispatch. Keep a preferred arrival date separate from a firm commitment. For the current preparation and transit guidance, return to Delivery; stock, schedules and clearance can affect the overall timing.

Ask about the whole cost

The transport charge is only one part of an international delivery budget. FedEx explains that package dimensions, weight and service affect shipping estimates, while duties, taxes and clearance charges may affect the total cost. A quote for a different basket or destination may not be comparable. See FedEx’s explanation of shipping costs.

Ask what the quotation includes, what may be charged separately and who is responsible for destination charges. Customs assessment depends on the destination and shipment details; do not assume a rate from another country or an earlier order applies. The current Delivery page explains The Fora’s stated treatment of import charges. FedEx’s duties and taxes guide explains the distinction between transport and import charges.

Keep product descriptions and documents consistent

An international parcel is accompanied by information about its contents. UPS’s commercial invoice guidance includes product descriptions, quantities, values and country-of-origin information. These fields explain why a clear product list is useful well before dispatch. Read the UPS invoice guidance.

For your enquiry, use the full names from the catalog and say whether your requested quantity means individual units or complete packs. Ask the seller which documents can be provided for the exact products. Requirements for your destination should be checked with the relevant customs or regulatory authority; availability in a catalog does not settle whether an item can be imported.

A compact delivery brief

  • Full product names or catalog links.
  • Quantity of each item, with “units” or “packs” written explicitly.
  • Destination country, city and postal code.
  • Any date you are working towards, described as a preference.
  • Questions about the proposed shipping service and what the quote includes.
  • Any product-specific storage requirement that needs confirming before dispatch.

Send the brief through Contact Us or use it within a wholesale enquiry. The website supports browsing and enquiry preparation; it does not complete a purchase or book a shipment. Save the final written arrangements so the recipient can compare the delivered goods with the agreed list.
